Driving Sustainability

Driving Sustainability

When it comes to sustainable car design and manufacture Toyota could claim to have written the book (in fact on this occasion it was a brochure on the subject written by The Communication Matrix).

Their claims to sustainability are based on years of refinement, superhuman effort and analysis, as well as a deep-seated culture and philosophy of excellence.  This takes quite a bit of explaining.

Concepts such as monozukuri (craftsmanship) and kaizen (reaching higher), in particular, are too complex to be captured easily in English, but give valuable insights into the social and philosophical principles behind Japanese manufacturing excellence.
